Bulkhead, Spooky and a Cat

This is my first shot at drawing a character from Transformers: Animated. I'd been saving my Allspark Almanac since I got it last Christmas. Saving it for what? I don't know, but somehow I decided the time was right.

So I drew Bulkhead in a sort of diminished, big-head style. I started out just drawing from memory, but then I broke down and opened the book to the Bulkhead reference pics. I got most of the lines right, but his philtrum is supposed to be grey, not green.

I like Bulkhead because he's big but gentle, sometimes clumsy, usually patient but gets flustered trying to think on his feet. Also, he's an artist (that's canon). I can relate to him quite a bit. I can imagine him wanting to pet the tiny cat but also being worried because it's so much smaller than him.

And yes, I'm fully aware that I'm about 2 years too late to start drawing TF:A fan art.
